That's how a British person says "Horse Racing". British person being Nick, owner of
Nick's Sports Bar. Nick has been a true supporter of GSW for a while now by letting us monopolize his bar. There are a plethora of NGOs in Cusco, and they're always trying to raise money, often times in the form of trivia night at a bar. Alex was doing a pub quiz at Nick's, but the two creative minds decided they could do something better, something more original. That's when the idea of horse racing was born!
It took Alex and I awhile to grasp the whole concept, us not exactly being veteran gamblers, (well, at least not me) but it has ended up being quite fun. We record races and then make up odds for each horse in each race. Then visitors of Nick's bet on their favorite horses in each race. We have raised some solid funds for GSW and had beers bought for us all night and met some cool people. Super.
