Fieldtrip!

Along with teaching sports to Cusqueñan girls and exposing them to the benefits of athletics, another part of GSW's mission is to encourage the girls to familiarize themselves with their rich history and culture. SO, we recently took a little field trip to Sacsayhuaman, an Incan ruin site which overlooks Cusco.

The girls were slightly more interested in the natural rock slides than Incan culture... can't blame a 10 year old for that, though! We had a couple injuries from the slides but no tears...

Then the campesinos (country folk) arrived, in massive quantities...
